Again, not the most successful of days but at least I managed a small Brown Trout after a short while (nymph fishing)
After lunch, working my way
back up the beat I managed to catch a Grayling.
Unfortunately that was it for the day. I think that the problem I have is that I am always fishing in the period of the day (10.00-16.00) that is least productive. Having a 2+ hour journey each way makes it a long day even with only a few hours fishing ad makes early morning or late evening fishinhg (whenthe beat is at its best) very difficult.
Perhaps another visit in the near future will be more productive.
